We’re currently looking for experienced and capable landscape architects to join our team.

  • The Intermediate/Senior Landscape Architect will be responsible for project concepts and design, detailed design, written reports, contract documents, project management, preparing proposal responses to RFPs, guiding and mentoring employees, and managing the team to provide detailed design, written reports, contract documents, and construction administration for a variety of institutional, commercial, and residential clients. Client, consultant, contractor liaison, and coordination of resources will be key aspects of the job, so communication skills are essential. The candidate should be motivated to work both independently and collaboratively with staff resources accordingly, as well as assist and support the Senior and Principal Landscape Architects and to help guide the firm’s direction.

    Qualifications:

    • Undergraduate and/or Masters level University degree in landscape architecture, related design degree, or demonstrated experience. Additional related degrees may be an asset.

    • A minimum of 5-10 years of experience.

    • OALA, AAPQ, or CSLA membership mandatory; membership with ISA and/or OPFA would be considered an asset.

    • Work experience in Canada; in the National Capital Region would be an asset.

    • Strong project management and leadership skills.

    • Experience working on complex, multi-disciplinary projects.

    • Ability to manage multiple projects with overlapping schedules.

    • Ability to manage and direct preparation of material for presentations, reports, graphics.

    • Experience with detail design, preparation of tender documents, and contract administration.

    • Experience with construction and contract administration.

    • Experience conducting site inspections and field work.

    • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), and Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).

    • Experience with 3D modelling (Sketchup, Lumion, Revit) would be considered an asset.

    • Strong oral, written, and graphic communication skills.

    • Valid driver’s licence.

    • Ability to communicate (written and orally) in both English and French would be considered an asset.
